Description
Solder Short Between Center Pin and Ground When inserting the RG-141 cable into the SMA M RA connector for soldering, too much solder or improper trimming can bridge the center conductor to the shield or other internal metal. 2. Improper Stripping of RG-141 RG-141 has a solid dielectric, making it harder to strip cleanly. If strands from the braid touch the center pin or vice versa, you get a short. 3. Too Much Heat or Solder During soldering, especially with right-angle connectors, solder can flow into unwanted areas and cause bridges, especially in confined areas.
