Description
Ensure Cable Compatibility: The “7/8″” refers to the outer diameter of the feeder cable (often corrugated or foam dielectric hardline such as LDF5-50A or equivalents). Make sure the connector spec matches the feeder cable mechanical. Gender & Threading: “N-male” means the male type of the N‑type connector interface. Threading is typically 5/8-24 UNEF for N-type interface. For 7/8″ feeder connectors the interface is still N-type but body size is larger to fit the 7/8″ cable clamp style. For example Telsto spec indicates interface screw thread 5/8-24 UNEF-2A. telsto-co.com PIM Performance: Critical for IBS/DAS applications. If it is for in-building (IBS) or DAS, ensure the connector spec includes low PIM (–155 dBc or better) and meets your system’s power. Environmental / Outdoor Use: If this is for outdoor or rooftop feeder run, IP67/68 sealing, weather proofing, corrosion resistance etc are important. Some specs show IP68.
