Description
At 22 GHz lower end, wavelengths are ~13.6 mm. To maintain good gain and beam control, the horn aperture and flare cannot be extremely small. Smaller size → wider beam / lower front‑gain, more sidelobes. Corrugations help reduce sidelobes, improve beam symmetry & matching. If “short” version skips or reduces corrugations, performance may degrade. The connector type (2.92 mm is good for up to ~40 GHz) ensures low loss at high frequency. Proper WR‑34 waveguide flange transitions matter.
