The SPINNER RF Attenuator is a precision passive coaxial component designed to reduce RF signal power by a specified amount while maintaining the correct system impedance. It absorbs part of the input power and allows the remaining signal to pass through with controlled attenuation, helping protect sensitive equipment and create accurate test conditions. SPINNER offers fixed attenuators with attenuation values such as 3 dB, 6 dB, 10 dB, 20 dB and 30 dB. Depending on the model, units are available with N-type, 4.3-10 and 7-16 connectors, frequency coverage up to 12.4 GHz, and power-handling ratings from approximately 5 W to 1 kW. Low-PIM versions are also available for demanding communication-system applications. The attenuator is suitable for testing and protecting signal generators, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, power meters, RF amplifiers, transmitters, antennas and base-station systems. It can also be used for signal-level adjustment, temporary power limitation, receiver simulation, impedance-matched testing and telecommunications maintenance.
