Description
A device used to measure the Voltage Standing Wave Ratio (VSWR), which indicates the efficiency of power transmission in an RF or microwave system. The VSWR is a key parameter that quantifies the ratio of the maximum voltage to the minimum voltage along a transmission line, caused by impedance mismatches between components such as cables, antennas, and connectors. A VSWR meter measures this ratio, helping engineers and technicians assess how well power is being transferred without reflection. It is commonly used in antenna testing, system calibration, and signal integrity analysis, where a lower VSWR (typically ≤ 1.5:1) indicates minimal signal loss and reflection.
