Smaller physical size → less gain, especially near 5 GHz (lower end), wider beamwidth. Reduced aperture (horn mouth size) → lower directivity & possibly more sidelobes. Potential higher VSWR / mismatch at the band edges if compression or truncation of horn. Mechanical stability & manufacturing precision becomes more critical in a compact horn + OMT. Cross‑polarization isolation might degrade if OMT & horn are smaller / simpler.
