Description
Vertical Beamwidth & Mounting Height: A 12 dBi omni tends to have a relatively narrow vertical beam. If installed low or with obstructions, performance may suffer. Higher mounting is typically required to fully benefit. Cable Losses: At higher frequencies (especially around 2.4‑2.7 GHz), coax cable loss can eat into gains. Use low‑loss cable to retain performance. VSWR / Matching: While ≤2.0 is acceptable, performance tends to be better in some sub‑bands; outside those, VSWR may degrade. Power Handling: While many units say 100 W, ensure your specific usage (amplifiers, boosters, etc.) doesn’t exceed what is safe. Quality & Real‑World Gain: Spec’d gain is often ideal; real deployment (masts, connectors, environment) may reduce effective gain. Always check radiation pattern if possible.
