Description
Aperture & Length vs Gain: To maintain good performance at the low end (4 GHz), the horn’s mouth/aperture and depth cannot be extremely small. Shorter horns will lose gain or have wider beam width at lower frequencies. Beamwidth & Pattern Uniformity: In “short” horns you might see the beam becoming less narrow / more spread out at 4 GHz, with performance improving (in directionality) as frequency goes up toward 8 GHz. VSWR across band: Ensure VSWR stays low (≤ ~1.5‑2) across the entire 4‑8 GHz, not just mid‑band. Connector type: Depending on application, N‑Female or SMA or similar. Check the connector
