Description

The Gefran GFW is an advanced modular solid-state power controller designed for precise control of industrial electric-heating loads. It combines the functions of a single-phase, two-phase or three-phase power unit with monitoring, control and communication features in a compact industrial package. Depending on the configuration, GFW controllers support operating currents from approximately 40 A to 250 A and supply voltages up to 600 VAC. Available firing modes include zero-crossing, burst firing, half-single-cycle and phase-angle control, allowing the controller to operate conventional resistive heaters, infrared lamps, transformer loads, silicon-carbide elements and other specialised heating systems. The controller provides diagnostics for current, voltage, power, temperature, load interruption, short circuits, phase loss and overtemperature conditions. It also supports RS-485 communication with Modbus RTU, with optional industrial communication protocols including Profibus, CANopen, Modbus TCP, EtherNet/IP and EtherCAT. The Gefran GFW is suitable for industrial furnaces, heat-treatment systems, plastic-processing machinery, glass and ceramic manufacturing, infrared heating and automated production equipment.
