Description

A BNC Female Bulkhead Solder Connector (BNC F BH SOLDER) is a panel-mount RF feed-through receptacle that installs into a single circular hole on a chassis wall or enclosure.Unlike cable-mount connectors that clamp or crimp onto coaxial cable jackets, this connector features a rear solder cup or pin terminal. This allows an internal hookup wire, small coax core wire, or PCB lead to be hand-soldered directly to the back of the connector.Part Designation BreakdownBNC: Quick bayonet coupling interface.F: Female jack socket.BH: Bulkhead mount (threaded front barrel with hex nut, lock washer, and optional sealing O-ring for single-hole panel installation).SOLDER: Rear solder cup, pin, or solder-turret termination for direct wire soldering.Technical SpecificationsParameterSpecificationConnector GenderFemale (Jack)Mounting StyleBulkhead Mount (Single-hole circular or D-flat cutout)Rear TerminationSolder Cup / Solder Pin / Solder TabImpedance50 $Omega$ (Standard RF) or 75 $Omega$ (Video / Telecom)Frequency RangeDC to 4 GHzVSWR$le 1.15$ to $1.20$ (DC to 3 GHz)Working Voltage500V RMS peakInsulation Resistance$ge 5000text{ M}Omega$Body MaterialNickel-plated or Silver-plated BrassCenter Pin ContactGold-plated beryllium copper / brassInsulator MaterialPTFE (Teflon) for heat resistance during solderingKey Features & Design AdvantagesSingle-Hole Panel Installation: Requires only one drilled or punched hole (often with a “D-flat” profile to prevent rotation) rather than 4 mounting screw holes.Compact Rear Footprint: Takes up minimal space behind the panel, making it ideal for tight enclosure interiors.High-Temperature Insulation: Built with a PTFE (Teflon) dielectric that resists melting or pin displacement when heat is applied during soldering.Optional Ground Solder Lug: Many variants include a washer-style solder tab under the mounting nut to provide a clean, dedicated grounding point for internal shield wires.Common ApplicationsCustom Electronic Enclosures: DIY and prototype RF project boxes, amplifiers, and audio/video interfaces.Test & Measurement Gear: Panel inputs and outputs on oscilloscopes, function generators, and frequency counters.Communications Equipment: Antenna feed-through ports on radio transceivers and rackmount chassis panels.
